Porto-based opportunity with hybrid work model.

As a Senior IBM BAW Developer, you will be working within our client’s dynamic IT division, driving the modernization of Treasury and Cash Information Systems for a global banking leader. Your role will focus on designing and building end-to-end process workflows that optimize client interactions, streamline back-office operations, and elevate financial service delivery through cutting-edge automation technology.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy sophisticated process workflows using IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW).
  • Customize and configure IBM BAW components (Process Designer, Process Portal, Coach/Coach View UI framework).
  • Integrate BAW with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Build and enhance Coach-based UIs, contributing to front-end enhancements (Angular experience is a plus).
  • Write and execute unit and integration tests to guarantee workflow robustness.
  • Document technical processes, API contracts (Swagger), and system architecture details.
  • Collaborate actively in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions in a multi-site international team.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • A minimum of 6 years’ hands-on experience in workflow or case management, with strong expertise in IBM BAW or IBM Case Manager.
  • Proficiency with IBM Process Designer and Coach/Coach Views development.
  • Solid knowledge of REST/SOAP web services, SOA architecture, and scripting with JavaScript/ECMAScript.
  • Strong SQL/PL-SQL skills.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies, using JIRA, Git/Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines.

It’s a strong plus if you have:

  • Java/J2EE for custom service integration.
  • Angular for UI enrichment.
  • Jenkins, Swagger, Confluence experience.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG).

Language required: Fluent English (good command).
