Senior Power BI & Data Warehousing Analyst – Banking Sector

As a Senior Power BI & Data Warehousing Analyst, you will be working for our client within the banking sector, specializing in financial data analysis and visualization. You will play a crucial role in designing and delivering enterprise-grade dashboards, enabling key stakeholders to make informed decisions. Your main responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-performance Power BI reports and dashboards for corporate banking financing operations.
• Build and optimize robust data models using Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema) techniques.
• Write and optimize complex DAX calculations, ensuring high report performance over large datasets.
• Develop and fine-tune advanced SQL queries for data extraction and preparation from bank databases.
• Collaborate directly with CIB business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and recommend visualization solutions.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage Power BI workspaces to enforce governance and security standards.
• Provide expert advice on best practices in data visualization, governance, and data modeling.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Over 6 years of experience in Power BI development and data warehousing within a financial or banking environment.
• Deep expertise in architecting, deploying, and maintaining enterprise Power BI solutions.
• Master-level knowledge of DAX, including performance tuning, evaluation context, and time intelligence.
• Extensive experience with SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and performance optimization.
• Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of Dimensional Modeling (Kimball methodology).
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to confidently engage with senior banking executives.
• A proactive, consultative approach with a strategic mindset capable of translating ambiguous business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications or additional training in data warehousing, Power BI, or related fields.
• Experience in the banking sector or financial services industry.
