As a Senior Windows & Virtualization System Administrator, you will be working for our client, a leading organization in IT infrastructure services. You will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing complex server environments, ensuring seamless support and continuous improvement within the infrastructure team. Your main responsibilities:
- Maintain strong collaboration with other entities and teams within the infrastructure department.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for Windows Server environments.
- Manage incident, problem, and change requests following ITIL best practices.
- Coordinate planned technical operations and oversee monitoring systems.
- Perform physical server installation, deployment of applications, and patches using SCCM/MECM.
- Develop and enhance PowerShell scripts and operational tools.
- Troubleshoot Windows Server and Virtualization issues (VMWare).
- Analyze operational risks, resolve problems, and escalate when necessary.
- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining services within the team scope.
- Draft and update documentation and operational procedures.
- Follow and implement security best practices.
- Ensure service quality levels in accordance with SLA requirements.
- Maintain operational condition (MCO) of managed assets.
- Ensure infrastructure deployment aligns with group standards and IT policies.
- Participate in IT structural constraints, interventions, and disaster recovery planning.
- Support NetApp Storage Migration and Implementation activities.
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Windows and Linux System Administration.
- Solid expertise in Windows Server (2019, 2022, 2025) troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with VMWare vCenter in complex environments.
- Proven experience with MECM/SCCM deployment and automation tools.
- Strong knowledge of Clusters, SAN (Storage Area Network), and NAS technologies.
- Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, load balancing, and storage solutions like NetApp.
- Expertise in PowerShell scripting.
- Good understanding of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and GPO troubleshooting.
- Intermediate networking knowledge.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools, ideally Zabbix.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Relevant certifications in IT infrastructure or virtualization.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and IT structural constraints.
- Knowledge of security standards and best practices.
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent command of English and Portuguese.
