Big Data (+Java)

As a Big Data Developer you will be solving engineering problems for our Client – one of the most prestigious retail Banks in the world! You will join an engineering team that builds massively scalable software and systems, and architects low latency infrastructure solutions. The team is in charge of developing and optimizing decisional platforms used across all locations of the bank, making it a critical project for the organization.

Your key responsibilities: 

• Development of strategic platform on Big Data technologies
• Coordinate with interfacing applications to define integration approach and data specification
• Collaboration with other team members and other teams across the bank.
• Work with product owners across several high priority and concurrent efforts; Work with senior enterprise architects and functional architects to translate business requirements to a detailed technical solution and design, build level-of-effort estimates, and implementation timeline in an extremely fast-paced Agile/rapid solution development lifecycle.
• Technologies Big DATA (HDFS, YARN, MapR,…)
• JAVA Spring boot Webservice
• Framework Big Data (MapReduce/Tez,Spark, Hive SQL, sqoop)

The ideal Candidate has:

• 4+ years of Implementation and tuning experience in the Big Data Ecosystem, (HDFS, YARN, MapR) and Relational Databases
• 2+ years of experience with Java Spring Boot
• Strong demonstrated track record in understanding customer requirements and render those as architectural models and designs that will operate at large scale and high performance
• Code, test, modify, debug, document, and implement software using approved methodologies.
• Extract best-practice knowledge, reference architectures, and patterns from these engagements for sharing with the global solution architects and engineering teams.
• Assume ownership and accountability for the assigned deliverables through all phases of the development lifecycle. You are able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure

It is a strong plus if you have knowledge of:

• Regulatory environments and finance
• Agile
• Data Warehouse project
• French language skills
