Technical Expert Cobol – Private Banking

This is a Lisbon-based hybrid opportunity – work from home up to 3 days per week.

As a Cobol Technical Expert, you will work for our client – a global IT leader driving innovation with cutting-edge solutions and services. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of requirements within a project, supporting IT specialists

Your main responsibilities:

• Monitor the quality of requirements within a project

• Support IT specialists by gathering and sharing transversal information

• Bring clarity and highlight the business impact of the retained solution

• Support and adhere to Azqore Methodology and continuously contribute to improve the processes

• Attend project daily meetings

• Perform software development using Cobol language

• Understand the requirements document and convert them into Cobol programs

• Work with Business Analyst and Technical Leads to deliver quality product

• Involve in support activity during various testing phases of the project

• Strictly adhere to client’s standards, processes, quality, and security processes

• Create test documents and execute test cases

• Provide support to clients when doing User Acceptance Testing

• Aid junior team members in solving technical issues and provide knowledge transfer

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• At least 7 years of programming experience in COBOL, DB2/SQL, JCL, CICS COBOL Online (Screens and Maps), and sequential file handling

• More than 5 years of experience in system analysis and design

• Experience in Visual COBOL and Eclipse development tool

• Knowledge in Unix shell scripts

• More than 5 years of experience in conducting program unit testing and system integration testing

• Proficiency in English (C1 level) and French (B1 level)

• Basic knowledge of Sustainable Finance
