Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud and Automation

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud and Automation, you will be working for our client, a leading player in infrastructure development, focusing on building and optimizing resilient, scalable platforms. This role is pivotal in enabling development teams through automation and cloud technology, fostering innovation and reliability in complex distributed systems.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, build, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure platforms on Kubernetes and AWS.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling using Python and Terraform.
• Contribute to infrastructure application development through coding and reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within distributed systems, ensuring high availability.
• Deliver scalable, reliable, and business-aligned technical solutions.
• Collaborate across teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
• Advise on infrastructure stability, security, and compliance.
• Stay updated with industry trends, continuously improving system architecture.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or related fields.
• Proven expertise with Linux, Kubernetes, DNS, Kerberos, and AWS IAM.
• Advanced Python skills and a strong general programming background; knowledge of Java, Go, or Bash is a plus.
• Hands-on experience managing production workloads on AWS.
• Strong judgment balancing delivery speed, reliability, and risk.
• Autonomous work ethic with a proactive problem-solving attitude.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Valid work authorization in Europe.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Kubernetes certifications.
• Experience with open-source projects or contributions.

• Fluent English, with excellent communication skills.
