Job Title: Junior QA Engineer – Software Testing & Automation

Location & Work Model: Porto-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 3 remote days per week).

Overview:
As a Junior QA Engineer, you will join a dynamic project team based in Porto, supporting our client in the Trade Finance domain. You will contribute to the validation of deliverables in agile sprints and help build and maintain a non-regression test automation framework based on Playwright. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in software testing, automation, and the financial services industry, working closely with senior QA professionals and business analysts.

Your main responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior team members to validate features delivered in each sprint.
• Contribute to designing, executing, and maintaining manual and automated test cases.
• Assist in constructing and expanding our non-regression test factory using Playwright.
• Track and report defects using tools like Jira, ensuring clear and detailed documentation.
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies, participating in planning, daily stand-ups, and review sessions.
• Develop a deeper understanding of web applications, APIs, and the Trade Finance domain.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 1+ years’ experience or strong interest in software testing, QA, or related IT roles.
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum.
• Familiarity with manual testing concepts—test cases, regression testing, defect reporting.
• Interest or initial experience with test automation tools, ideally Playwright (training will be provided).
• Knowledge of web browsers, forms, and API basics.
• Good communication skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach.
• Fluency in English (fluent command).

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in financial services or Trade Finance industry.
• Knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence.
• Exposure to web automation frameworks like Selenium or Cypress.
• Relevant certifications in QA or automation testing.

Language Required for the role:
English — Fluent command.
