Mid-Level Network Security Engineer – Firewall and Micro-Segmentation Expertise

As a Mid-Level Network Security Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading enterprise in the IT security industry. You will focus on operational maintenance, network segmentation, and firewall management within a complex production environment, ensuring high standards of security and compliance. This role offers a unique chance to enhance your expertise and contribute to cutting-edge security solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Diagnose malfunctions, clear flow blockages, and maintain high availability of security infrastructure in adherence to SLAs.
• Implement, code, and optimize firewall policies and segmentation rules using industry best practices.
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance, training, and compliance verification against IT security standards.
• Interface with technical teams across different IT and infrastructure domains to ensure holistic security management.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 3 years of experience in network security and IT production operations (incidents, requests, changes, documentation).
• Hands-on experience with NSX-T / VCF9, Palo Alto, and Fortinet, including coding and implementing security rules and micro-segmentation.
• Bilingual proficiency in English plus French OR Portuguese, with fluent command of both languages.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of incident and change management aligned with ITIL methodologies.
• Skills in firewall rule optimization and automation.
• Experience in SLA and QoS management.

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent English and Portuguese or French.
