Senior Power BI Data & Dashboard Developer

As a Senior Power BI Data & Dashboard Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial organization serving millions of customers across France. You will take full ownership of Power BI projects, transforming complex financial and operational data into insightful, actionable dashboards that drive strategic decisions. Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.
• Define and apply best practices in data visualization, UI/UX, and storytelling to enhance stakeholder understanding.
• Manage end-to-end BI reporting projects, from requirements gathering to final deployment.
• Build, optimize, and maintain sophisticated data models (star schema, relationships, measures) using DAX and Power Query.
• Perform data transformation, cleaning, and preparation to ensure data quality and reliability.
• Optimize report performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement data governance and security protocols, including RLS.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Contribute to documentation and internal standards to foster continuous improvement in BI practices.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• A minimum of 6 years total experience in IT/Data, with at least 3–6+ years in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics.
• Proven ability to deliver end-to-end BI and reporting solutions independently.
• Deep expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Strong skills in DAX calculations and data modeling (star and snowflake schemas).
• Proficiency in Power Query (M) and SQL for data transformation and querying.
• Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and data security, including RLS.
• Fluent written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools like dbt, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Skills in Power BI Report Builder (paginated reports).
• Knowledge of Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines for BI deployment.
