As a Mid-Level Application Support Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the IT industry committed to delivering robust and scalable digital solutions. Your expertise will help optimize systems, ensure stability, and support the deployment of innovative infrastructure management practices, paving the way for transformational digital growth.
Your main responsibilities:
- Monitor and support Linux and Windows environments to ensure optimal system performance and stability.
- Automate tasks and improve processes using scripting languages such as Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
- Manage and troubleshoot databases including Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, and MySQL, with a solid understanding of SQL.
- Oversee infrastructure backups and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data.
- Utilize monitoring tools such as Zabbix or Grafana to detect, analyze, and resolve system issues proactively.
- Manage and maintain infrastructure components including LDAP, Firewall, Reverse proxy, Active Directory, and Kerberos.
- Collaborate on container-based infrastructure projects and implement best practices for deployment and scaling.
- Support and optimize middleware platforms like JBoss, TomCat, Apache, and IIS.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in systems administration or application support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments and system management.
- Experience with BMC/Control-M or other industrial schedulers.
- Proficiency in scripting languages: Shell, Python, and/or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with Monitoring tools like Zabbix or Grafana.
- Basic networking knowledge and understanding of infrastructure components.
- Good command of English (minimum B2 level).
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Knowledge of LDAP, Firewall, Reverse proxy, Active Directory, and Kerberos.
- Experience with container orchestration and infrastructure automation.
- DevOps mindset and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
