As a Senior Informatica Data Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial services provider in the banking industry, dedicated to modernizing enterprise data architectures and optimizing data workflows. Join a collaborative team focused on migrating legacy systems to advanced cloud platforms, ensuring data integrity, security, and high performance—pioneering the future of data management in a dynamic environment.
Your main responsibilities:
- Lead the assessment and execution of PowerCenter-to-IDMC migration plans, ensuring seamless transition of legacy workloads.
- Design, develop, and optimize cloud integration workflows using Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
- Create, test, and maintain complex ETL/ELT mappings, sessions, and workflows to support high-volume data processing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks across data pipelines to ensure scalable and reliable operations.
- Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement mitigation strategies for high availability.
- Support data governance initiatives by contributing to data masking and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in data security, quality, and lifecycle management.
- Contribute to continuous modernization and enhancement of data architecture through automation and innovative solutions.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Over 8 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or ETL development.
- Deep technical expertise with Informatica PowerCenter, Cloud Data Integration (CDI), and migrations between the two.
- Advanced SQL skills and strong understanding of relational database management systems.
- Proven experience in designing scalable data workflows and optimizing performance.
- Excellent communication skills in English (fluent level) for effective collaboration.
- Ability to work autonomously and troubleshoot complex data issues.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC and migration tools.
- Knowledge of Data Quality tools such as Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).
- Familiarity with data masking strategies.
- Scripting skills in Python or Shell.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern cloud/Agile environments.
