As a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator – Cloud & High Availability Expertise, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution recognized for innovation and excellence. You will manage, optimize, and secure a complex multi-database environment, delivering high-performance solutions aligned with strategic cloud migration and high availability projects. This role offers exceptional growth potential within a dynamic, global team driving technological excellence.

Your main responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain SQL Server (2014+, up to 2025) and Sybase ASE in a production environment, ensuring stability and performance.
• Implement and manage high availability solutions such as AlwaysON, Transactional Replication, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Analyze query performance, optimize T-SQL and stored procedures, and tune MS BI tools including SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and PowerBI Server.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using T-SQL and PowerShell for operational tasks, deployments, and proactive monitoring.
• Contribute to cloud platform refreshes and cross-cloud migrations involving Azure SQL, Azure Analysis Services, PowerBI, as well as AWS and GCP.
• Handle incident management, participate in crisis resolution, and support scheduled on-call rotations in a fast-paced production environment.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Over 8 years of extensive experience in database administration and architecture, specifically with SQL Server and Sybase ASE.
• Deep expertise with high availability configurations, disaster recovery plans, and database security policies.
• Strong scripting skills in T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Proven ability to manage production incidents, lead war rooms, and operate effectively in operational readiness scenarios.
• Fluent command of English and French, both written and spoken, to collaborate across teams effectively.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of .NET stack technologies such as C#, Angular, or Rust for internal tooling.
• Certification in Microsoft SQL Server or cloud platforms.
