As a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will be working for our client, a prominent European institution committed to advancing digital transformation through innovative network solutions. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing and transforming critical network systems, ensuring operational stability, security, and scalability. This role offers a chance to contribute to impactful projects while developing your professional skills in a dynamic environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain the network estate, promptly responding to alerts and troubleshooting issues across wired, wireless, access, and core networks.
• Support NAC and authentication-related issues, ensuring seamless connectivity and security.
• Participate in scheduled change windows and implement ad hoc fixes to optimize network performance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and improve monitoring and observability tools.
• Lead infrastructure transformation initiatives, including replacing legacy Cisco switches with Cisco Nexus/NX-OS and upgrading Wi-Fi environments with Cisco wireless platforms.
• Implement Network Access Control (NAC) solutions, including 802.1X, RADIUS, and ISE, ensuring secure network access.
• Deploy Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center) as the primary network management platform, enhancing automation and configuration management.
• Act as the senior technical lead, ensuring changes are planned, executed safely, and operational stability maintained.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in network engineering or related fields.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco Nexus/NX-OS and IOS/IOS-XE administration.
• Proven experience with switch upgrades, replacements, and Cisco Wi-Fi implementation.
• Familiarity with NAC solutions like 802.1X, RADIUS, and ISE.
• Strong understanding of change management disciplines and operational support.
• Willingness to learn and adaptability to evolving network technologies.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and automation tools.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center) certification or experience.
• Previous involvement in infrastructure transformation projects.

Language Required for the role:
Fluent English – excellent written and verbal communication skills.
