As a Mid-Level DevOps Support Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading organization in IT infrastructure and automation solutions. You will contribute to managing, supporting, and optimizing complex systems, building resilient environments, and enabling seamless DevOps workflows. Your main responsibilities:
- Manage and support Linux and Windows environments, ensuring stable and secure systems operations.
- Administer and optimize BMC/Control-M or similar industrial schedulers to automate workflows efficiently.
- Develop and maintain scripts using Shell, Python, and PowerShell to automate routine tasks and enhance system functionalities.
- Oversee application servers such as JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, or IIS, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Work with databases like Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, and MySQL, applying basic SQL queries for troubleshooting and support.
- Conduct infrastructure backups, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Utilize monitoring tools such as Zabbix or Grafana to track system health and preempt issues.
- Apply knowledge of LDAP, Firewall, Reverse Proxy, Active Directory, and Kerberos to enhance security and access management.
- Support container-based infrastructures and possess basic networking knowledge for optimal system integration.
- Collaborate within a team environment, maintaining excellent communication in English and Portuguese.
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 5 years of experience in systems administration or DevOps support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
- Proficiency with BMC/Control-M or other industrial schedulers.
- Hands-on scripting skills in Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
- Experience with application servers: JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, or IIS.
- Knowledge of databases such as Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, and MySQL with SQL basics.
- Familiarity with infrastructure backups and monitoring tools like Zabbix or Grafana.
- Understanding of LDAP, Firewall, Reverse proxy, Active Directory, and Kerberos configurations.
- Some knowledge of containerization and basic networking concepts.
It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)
- Certifications in DevOps, Cloud, or System Administration.
- Experience with cloud platforms or additional automation tools.
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (spoken and written).
