Senior Solution Architect – Banking Transformation

Porto, Lisbon — hybrid (3 days remote per week)

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be working for our client, a leading bank, to establish a new architecture team in Portugal. You will be instrumental in defining and supporting the architecture of transformative projects within the CIB CIO department, driving digital evolution and industry leadership.

Your main responsibilities:

• Conduct architecture studies and create Solution Draft Proposals (SDP) for validation.
• Guide development teams in producing architecture files and ensure alignment with committee expectations.
• Maintain and update reference architecture documentation, including IT Master Plans and technical maps.
• Manage architecture governance for multi-year transformation programs and prioritize program backlog features.
• Collaborate with global teams using the TOGAF framework and contribute to a community of CIB and Risk IT architects.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 8+ years of experience in IT, ideally 5+ years specifically in capital markets and Solution Architecture.
• Strong skills in framing analysis and modeling (UML, BPMN).
• A dynamic, customer-focused, and proactive approach.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Fluent proficiency in English for international collaboration.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
• Experience working within banking or financial services.
