As a Data Engineer, you will become an integral part of our client’s dynamic team, a leading figure in the financial technology landscape renowned for their cutting-edge solutions and data-driven decision-making. Your expertise in Big Data will be instrumental in managing complex datasets, driving insights, and fostering innovation using Azure’s suite of managed services.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices for both relational (MS-SQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB).
  • Integrate up-and-coming data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures.
  • Utilize Azure cloud services such as Azure Machine Learning, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Cosmos DB to enhance data functionality and analytics capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
  • Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes.

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

  • Over 6 years of experience in a Big Data environment, with a strong foundation in data engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in managing both relational (MS-SQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB).
  • Extensive experience with Azure managed services, including Azure Machine Learning, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Cosmos DB.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, with the ability to utilize it for data processing and analytics.
  • Excellent command of English, with effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts and collaborate with international teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
