Cobol Developer – French Speaker

This is a Hybrid Lisbon-based opportunity.

As a Cobol Developer, you will work for our client – a well-known French group in the financial sector. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining COBOL applications, integrating with DB2 databases, and collaborating with our French-speaking clients and colleagues.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain COBOL applications, ensuring they meet project requirements and quality standards
• Work closely with DB2 databases, including data retrieval, updates, and optimization
• Collaborate with French-speaking clients and team members to understand and address their technical needs
• Debug and resolve application issues and defects, providing efficient solutions
• Write clear and concise documentation for code and processes

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• Proficiency in COBOL programming.
• Strong experience with DB2 databases, including SQL queries and performance tuning
• Fluency in French
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality code
