This is a Porto-based hybrid opportunity

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client – a European leader in payment services. You will be responsible for automating infrastructure, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system reliability and security.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)

  • Manage CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery, testing, and deployment

  • Develop scripts and tools for efficient deployment, scaling, and monitoring

  • Standardize system configurations for consistency and reliability across environments

  • Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerized application deployment and scaling

  • Implement monitoring tools (Centreon, Prometheus) and log aggregation systems (Splunk) for performance tracking and issue resolution

  • Collaborate with security teams for best practices, including vulnerability assessments and access controls

  • Facilitate DevOps collaboration, fostering shared responsibility between development and operations teams

  • Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) for tracking code and configuration changes

  • Optimize system scalability and performance to handle increasing workloads

  • Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations and procedures

  • Diagnose and resolve system issues, collaborating cross-functionally when needed

  • Stay current with DevOps tools and practices, applying new knowledge for process improvement

  • Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 support and rapid incident response

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

  • English proficiency at the B2 level

  • Effective communication within a team of Developers, NetOps, and DevOps professionals is a key aspect of the role

  • Ability to break down complex technical problems into smaller components

  • Solid knowledge of operating systems, including Linux and Windows

  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, Python, PowerShell, and Ansible

  • Basic understanding of private and public cloud platforms such as VMware, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

  • Fundamental knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)

  • Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes

  • Usage of version control systems, specifically Git

  • Familiarity with monitoring and log management tools, including Centreon

  • Basic database management skills in both SQL and NoSQL
