Linux Engineer

Administrate and Configure Linux systems

This is a hybrid Porto-based opportunity

As a Linux Automation Engineer, you will be working for Client – a leader in corporate and investment banking. You will be responsible for configuring and setting up all Linux services and ensuring that all SLAs are kept from a functional point of view.

Your main responsibilities: Be a Linux expert in your team

• Install and config the Linux Systems

• Guarantee the availability and good function of all systems and services

• Troubleshoot and solve the level 2 and 3 incidents

• Propose and implement corrections to avoid future incidents

• Actively participate in the Capacity Planning

• Follow and implement the best security practices

• Ensure the right level of service quality in line with the requirements of Service Contracts (SLAs) in their area of responsibility

• Implement and maintain the rules of good management and usability of systems and/or products

• Actively participate in the Industrialization and Automation process

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Linux Engineer or similar role

• Experience in Linux RedHat (6/7/8)

• Experience with DevOps tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible

• Experience with Ansible Tower

• Development in Python and Ansible Playbooks

• OpenShift and/or Kubernetes knowledge

• English level B2

• Good communication skills

• Good organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Fast learner, easy to adapt, team worker

• Willing to be “On Duty Call”

• Willing to travel abroad occasionally
