Network Engineer

This is a hybrid Lisbon-based opportunity – 3x in the office

As a Network Engineer, you will work for our client  – one of the largest TIC companies globally. You will be responsible for designing, managing, and securing complex network infrastructures.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN network architectures, ensuring optimal performance and security
• Manage Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as Fortinet devices, ensuring proper configuration and operational efficiency
• Deploy and manage NAC solutions, including 802.1x standards, to secure network access and protect against unauthorized devices
• Use network management and monitoring tools like Zabbix, PRTG, and TACACs to identify and resolve network issues quickly
• Configure and maintain VoIP systems (Cisco, Asterisk) and wireless networks (Cisco Wireless, Fortinet) to ensure reliable communication.

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

•  At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Cisco Routing and Switching (Nexus, Catalyst) and Fortinet devices
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN protocols such as SDWAN and MPLS, with experience in network zoning and segmentation.
• Experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Checkpoint) and VPNs, including designing secure perimeter networks.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Zabbix, PRTG) and management platforms (Radius, TACACs), as well as VoIP protocols and wireless network management
• Fluency in English and portuguese
