Network Security Engineer

This is a Hybrid Porto-based opportunity.

As a Network Security Engineer, you will work for our client – a leader in the financial industry, exemplifying innovation, agility, and unwavering commitment to its clients! You will be responsible for safeguarding and optimizing network infrastructure against cyber threats.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design and implement security solutions for new technologies or client projects

• Conduct upgrades and deployments of security devices across the network

• Provide ongoing supervision and support for security devices such as F5 Load Balancers, Fortinet Firewalls, and SkyHigh proxies

• Develop and automate processes and controls to enhance perimeter security

• Collaborate with the team on capacity planning and resiliency measures for the security infrastructure

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in security infrastructure solutions, including firewalls, load-balancing, proxies, and WAFs.

• Expertise in F5 Load Balancer, specifically in the LTM module, with hands-on experience beyond basic tasks like certificate renewal or simple VIP management.

• Familiarity with at least one critical product among Fortinet Firewall, SkyHigh proxies, or Ubika WAF.

• Knowledge about DNS, LAN, IP, cabling, and switching.

• Knowledge about automation / NETOPS (Ansible, Python, Perl)

• Knowledge about supervision (Splunk, Centreon)

• Fluency in English
