As a Senior AI Engineering Manager, you will be working for our client, a global leader in AI technology, pioneering advanced AI solutions across diverse sectors. Your expertise will drive the development and deployment of large language models (LLMs) and conversational AI, transforming business processes and creating scalable, intelligent systems. Your main responsibilities:
- Lead the AI squad’s strategy, people, and technical standards, translating business priorities into a cohesive AI vision.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of AI/LLM-powered products, ensuring quality, scalability, and compliance.
- Review architecture, set engineering standards (prompting, evaluation, guardrails), and unblock technical challenges hands-on.
- Own and execute the technical roadmap, aligning AI development with strategic business goals such as automated rating and agent copilots.
- Mentor and manage AI Engineers and Senior AI Engineers, fostering a high-performance, innovative team culture.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure AI governance in a regulated industry.
- Evaluate vendor and model strategies, balancing cost, performance, and build-vs-buy considerations.
- Communicate AI strategy, risks, and results effectively to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- 8+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years in technical leadership or engineering management.
- Proven track record in leading teams that ship AI/LLM-powered products end-to-end.
- Deep technical knowledge in AI architecture, LLMOps, and scalable infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience reviewing system architecture, setting standards, and unblock technical issues.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, capable of translating complex AI concepts for diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of vendor evaluation and model strategy, including LLM provider assessments.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certifications or experience with AI governance, ethical AI practices, or related compliance.
- Previous experience within regulated industries such as finance or insurance.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and automation tools related to AI deployment.
Language Required for the role: English — Fluent
