Tech Lead Java- Insurance

This is a Lisbon-based hybrid opportunity – work from home for 3 days per week.

As a Java Tech Lead Developer, you will work for our client – a global IT leader driving innovation with cutting-edge solutions and services. You will be responsible for overseeing and developing a team of developers, ensuring the development of high-quality code that adheres to functional and technical specifications.

Your main responsibilities:

• Guide and support a team of developers, ensuring they meet project milestones and deliverables

• Oversee the development of code that aligns with functional and technical specifications

• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure integrity, reliability, and the successful execution of unit tests

• Address, test, and redeploy UAT failures to ensure system stability

• Ensure the correct deployment of systems in line with the implementation strategy

• Contribute to post Go-live checks on the system platform and other impacted systems

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• Over 5 years of experience as a full stack developer with proficiency in Java and Angular, with a strong understanding of functional specifications and analytical capabilities

• Excellent communication in English and French

• Proven ability to lead and manage developer teams, handling application owner requests effectively

• A strong ability to propose, advise, and take initiative, with a keen interest in technological advancements and security
