API Manager

This is a hybrid Lisbon-based opportunity – 2x in the office

As an API Manager for our client, you’ll be at the forefront of data solutions, crafting applications on cutting-edge platforms. You will be responsible for driving innovation through seamless API integration.

Your main responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a standardized API framework for various business areas, facilitating efficient API development and deployment

• Offer guidance and assistance to teams in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting APIs, ensuring smooth integration and functionality

• Manage the documentation process for APIs, including creation, organization, and maintenance of documentation to support development and usage

• Conduct training sessions for teams on API development best practices, tools, and processes to enhance their capabilities and ensure adherence to standards

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment of API development efforts with business objectives and timelines

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• 5 years of experience in API development and management, with a strong understanding of best practices and industry standards

• Knowledge API Documentation structures: Swagger, OpenAPI, and the formats: JSON, YAML

• Demonstrate expertise in Java programming language and the Spring framework, essential for developing robust and scalable APIs

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in agile environments, including participation in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives

• Strong documentation skills, including the ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for APIs and related processes

• Fluency in English
