Empower seamless banking operations — orchestrate resilient SaaS and cloud integrations at the forefront of financial innovation!
Portugal-based opportunity with hybrid (up to 5 remote days/week) work model.
As an Application Manager, you'll work for our client in the banking / financial services sector, owning the operational scope of all SaaS integrations and business-critical applications. You'll keep services stable, recover them fast, and make reliability measurable — combining strong ITIL practice with deep monitoring and observability across a modern, cloud-native integration landscape.
Your main responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end operations for all SaaS integrations and applications — availability, performance and incident resolution.
- Coordinate major incidents to restore service quickly, and run ITIL processes with a focus on incident, problem, change and event management.
- Manage the full application lifecycle: onboarding, configuration, upgrades, patching and decommissioning.
- Monitor the health and resilience of business-critical applications and their underlying infrastructure.
- Ensure monitoring and observability end-to-end — centralized logging, alerting, KPIs and dashboards.
- Manage SaaS vendor relationships, SLAs and escalations, and coordinate with development / DevOps teams on deployment and resilience.
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Solid experience in IT operations within a regulated industry — ideally banking or financial services.
- Proven hands-on experience managing SaaS applications across their full lifecycle and integrating them with internal and external systems.
- Strong experience supporting business-critical, highly available applications and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (incident, problem, change, event) — certification a plus.
- Comfort working within rotational shifts across the team to keep services covered.
- Real depth in monitoring & observability, centralized logging and alerting.
- Practical experience with ITSM / ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira or comparable).
- A good understanding of typical banking IT landscapes and their availability requirements.
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent English
Eligibility for the role:
- Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in the European Union will be considered for this role.
