Data Engineer – Banking

This is a Porto-based hybrid opportunity – 3 days from home per week.

As a Data Engineer, you will work alongside our Data Engineers, Data Analysts, BI Engineers, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and others in the Application teams. You will be responsible for improving our applications and business line decisions while promoting a data-centric mindset and a data-driven company.

Your main responsibilities:

– Collaborate with business users, analysts, and developers to deliver data-driven solutions.
– Transform data into actionable insights through visualizations.
– Design and develop scalable ETL pipelines.
– Build dashboards and reports to enhance metric understanding.
– Maintain clean data models.

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

– BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
– 4+ years of experience with Power BI.
– Strong analytical mindset for data analysis.
– Excellent communication skills in English (B2 minimum).
– Proactive and autonomous work style.
– Willingness to travel abroad for short periods.

Nice to have:

– Experience with ETL pipelines and programming languages like Python or R.
– Knowledge of SQL, VBA, SSAS, SSIS, and Azure.
– Experience in the financial sector.
– Familiarity with agile methodologies.
– French language skills.
