DevOps Engineer – Digital Infrastructure Department

This is a Hybrid Porto-based opportunity.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work for our client -a European leader in payment services. You will be responsible for contributing to the implementation and maintenance of Private Cloud, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery solutions for our IT teams.

Your main responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintenance and upgrading of DevOps tools, ensuring smooth operations
• Monitor the production environment to guarantee the quality of service and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with IT teams to provide support for agile infrastructures, emphasizing the importance of agility and integrating the four values of agility into daily practices
• Demonstrate strong technical skills to articulate and support the DevOps culture, focusing on CALMS principles (Culture, Automation, Lean, Measurement, Sharing)
• Utilize tools such as Jira, Bitbucket (or Git), Jenkins, TFS/Azure DevOps, XL Deploy, XL Release, and Python to streamline development and deployment processes
• Possess or develop a good understanding of APIs, leveraging them for automation purposes
• Contribute to the creation and use of APIs to enhance efficiency and automation within the DevOps environment
• Embrace and promote the DevOps culture, ensuring that methodologies to implement it are well understood and effectively applied

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps practices with a focus on Private Cloud, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Bitbucket (or Git), Jenkins, TFS/Azure DevOps, XL Deploy, XL Release, and Python
• Understanding of CALMS principles and the ability to convey the importance of DevOps culture
• Knowledge of API usage and automation is a plus
