This is a Porto-based hybrid opportunity

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client – a European leader in payment services. You will be responsible for automating infrastructure, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system reliability and security.

Your main responsibilities:

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform and Ansible

• Manage sophisticated CI/CD pipelines for streamlined software delivery, testing, and deployment

• Develop advanced scripts and tools for seamless deployment, scaling, and monitoring

• Standardize and enhance system configurations for reliability across diverse environments

• Employ Docker and Kubernetes for intricate containerized application deployment and scaling

• Implement cutting-edge monitoring tools (Centreon, Prometheus) and log aggregation systems (Splunk) for precise performance tracking and issue resolution

• Collaborate closely with security teams to implement and refine best practices, encompassing vulnerability assessments and access controls

• Foster and lead DevOps collaboration, emphasizing shared responsibility between development and operations teams

• Utilize sophisticated version control systems (e.g., Git) for meticulous tracking of code and configuration changes

• Optimize system scalability and performance to adeptly handle evolving workloads

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations and procedures

• Diagnose and resolve intricate system issues, collaborating seamlessly across various functions

• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in DevOps tools and practices, applying new knowledge to enhance existing processes

• Participate actively in on-call rotations, providing 24/7 support and swift incident response

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• English proficiency at the B2 level is essential

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within a team of Developers, NetOps, and DevOps professionals

• Strong aptitude for breaking down complex technical problems into manageable components

• Expertise in operating systems, encompassing both Linux and Windows

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, PowerShell, and Ansible

• Advanced understanding of private and public cloud platforms such as VMware, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

• Comprehensive knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)

• Substantial experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes

• In-depth usage of version control systems, specifically Git

• Familiarity with advanced monitoring and log management tools, including Centreon

• Proficient in database management skills covering both SQL and NoSQL
