As an Expert Manual Tester, you will be working for our client, a leader in the corporate banking sector within the Group BPCE. The project focuses on developing lease applications, emphasizing manual, exploratory, and risk-based testing approaches to guarantee high-quality deliverables. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape testing excellence and advance your career in a dynamic environment.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and refine overall manual testing strategies, including planning, scope definition, and risk mitigation aligned with business objectives.
- Design comprehensive manual test cases, scenarios, and user flows covering functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing.
- Execute manual tests effectively, identifying defects, inconsistencies, and unforeseen scenarios through exploratory testing.
- Analyze test results, log defects with clarity, and communicate status, quality metrics, and risks to stakeholders.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and propose corrective actions to improve testing processes continuously.
- Serve as a technical QA expert, mentoring team members and promoting best practices in manual testing.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, and Developers to ensure clarity on requirements and quality expectations, focusing on manual coverage aspects.
- Participate in reviews to identify potential quality issues early, especially those uncovered through manual validation.
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on manual testing.
- Extensive experience designing, planning, executing, and documenting manual tests.
- Proficiency in exploratory, risk-based, and usability testing techniques.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and SDLC processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with an investigative mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (fluent) and French.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience with defect management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certifications in Quality Assurance or Testing (e.g., ISTQB).
- Prior experience working within financial services or banking environments.
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent English and French — excellent communication skills are essential to liaise effectively within multilingual teams.
