As an Expert QA Automation Engineer – API & Desktop Testing, you will be working for our client, an industry leader in software quality assurance, dedicated to delivering high-impact solutions across complex environments. You will play a pivotal role in establishing and advancing a comprehensive QA automation practice, focusing on API and desktop application testing, to ensure seamless deployment and optimal performance. Your main responsibilities:
- Define and implement a comprehensive QA testing strategy and methodology from scratch, establishing foundational practices for automation excellence.
- Transfer and structure existing test documentation into Jira + Xray platform, ensuring efficient test management and traceability.
- Automate API tests for WCF SOAP, WCF HTTP, and REST services using Karate Framework, including validation of XML payloads and service contracts via XSD schema validation.
- Develop and execute End-to-End test flows across multiple services and integration points, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Automate functional UI tests for WinForms and WPF desktop applications employing FlaUI and WinAppDriver, validating desktop application functionality.
- Configure and maintain Jenkins pipelines orchestrating both API and Desktop test suites on Windows VMs, managing dependencies via Artifactory for Maven and NuGet packages.
- Manage test cases, cycles, and execution results in Jira + Xray, with automated publication of test results from Jenkins pipelines.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum of 8 years in QA/Software Testing, with at least 3 years in test automation covering API and Desktop layers.
- Proven hands-on experience with Karate Framework for SOAP and REST testing.
- Strong practical knowledge of desktop UI automation using FlaUI and/or WinAppDriver.
- Advanced C# programming skills for test automation development.
- Experience configuring and maintaining Jenkins pipelines.
- Familiarity with Bitbucket and Artifactory in enterprise environments.
- Solid experience with Jira + Xray for test management and reporting.
- Comfortable working within Windows VM environments for test execution.
It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)
- Certifications in test automation or related fields.
- Additional experience with other automation tools or frameworks.
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent English (good command)
