Fullstack Java Developer – Corporate and Investment Banking

This is a Lisbon-based hybrid opportunity – 3 days from home per week.

As a Java Developer, you will be working for our prestigious banking client – a leader in the financial services industry known for its commitment to technology and innovation. You will be at the forefront of developing and implementing Java-based applications that are critical to our client’s operations and success.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high availability and performance.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• Ensure designs comply with specifications.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• Proficiency in Java, Angular, and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of SQL.
• Excellent communication skills in English (B2 or higher) and French (must-have).
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing environments.
• Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to challenges.
• Experience in banking or financial services is a plus.
