GCP Cloud Engineer

This is a Hybrid Lisbon-based opportunity.

As a GCP Cloud Engineer, you will work for our client – the forefront of telecommunications in Portugal, seamlessly intertwining cutting-edge technology and exceptional service to ignite a transformative digital experience. You will oversee the architecture and optimization of the Google Cloud Platform, ensuring robust and scalable solutions for seamless digital transformation.

Your main responsibilities:

• Manage GCP infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance
• Implement new services and migrations within GCP
• Utilize automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Helm) for efficient deployments
• Write scripts (Shell, Python) for task automation and configuration
• Fine-tune system configurations for GCP security and performance
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Gitlab
• Handle networking tasks, including TCP/IP and subnetting, in GCP
• Implement and maintain load balancing using GCP services
• Adhere to GCP security best practices
• Troubleshoot issues promptly and conduct blameless postmortem analysis
• Embrace a shared responsibility mindset in line with SRE principles

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• Strong understanding of GCP infrastructure and services
• Proficient in Linux, Shell scripting, and GCP networking
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Helm)
• Programming skills in Shell and Python
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Gitlab in GCP
• Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, subnetting) in GCP
• Understanding of load balancing using GCP services
• Commitment to GCP security best practices
• Effective troubleshooting skills in GCP environments
• Willingness to embrace shared responsibility and SRE principles
