Network and Security Specialist

This is a Hybrid Lisbon-based opportunity.

As a Network and Security Specialist, you will work for our client – the forefront of telecommunications in Portugal, seamlessly intertwining cutting-edge technology and exceptional service to ignite a transformative digital experience. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructure while ensuring the security and integrity of organizational data.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design and implement LAN, WAN, and WLAN architectures to meet organizational requirements

• Configure and manage routing protocols, with a particular focus on BGP (Border Gateway Protocol)

• Implement wireless solutions, especially with Cisco controllers, ensuring robust and secure wireless network connectivity

• Maintain academic background with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Network Informatics

• Hold certifications in firewall management (e.g., Palo Alto, Checkpoint) and Cisco certifications like CCNA or CCNP in routing and switching or wireless

• Apply expertise in the field of cybersecurity to assess, implement, and enhance security measures

• Hands-on experience with managing information protection tools, including Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, and Endpoint Protection

• Ensure familiarity with ISO 27001 standards and implement security measures in compliance with these standards

• Manage and implement User Behavior Analysis (UBA) and Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) tools to detect and respond to security threats

• Gain practical experience with attack tools, such as mimikatz, to understand and counter potential security threats

• Maintain academic background with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Network Informatics or Cybersecurity

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• Proven experience in network architecture and cybersecurity

• Strong understanding of routing protocols and BGP

• Proficiency in implementing wireless solutions, especially with Cisco controllers

• Academic background with a degree in Network Informatics or Cybersecurity

• Relevant certifications in firewall management and Cisco (CCNA or CCNP)

• Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards

• Fluency in English and Portuguese
