Are you an experienced Application Support Engineer with expertise in managing complex systems? Join our team in Porto and help ensure seamless support for mission-critical applications.
This is a Porto-based hybrid opportunity – 3 days from home per week.
As a Senior Application Support Engineer, you will work closely with various business units, managing production incidents, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams.
Your main responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve production incidents efficiently.
- Coordinate and oversee technical operations, including disaster recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with development, sysadmin, and network teams to manage changes in applications and infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of application architecture and operations.
- Ensure regular backup and restore tests for critical data.
- Monitor applications and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
- Optimize application load capacity and contribute to process automation.
You’re ideal for the role if you have:
- 6+ years of experience in application support roles.
- Strong knowledge of both Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience with Control-M or other industrial schedulers.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Python, and/or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of databases and infrastructure backups.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Elastic Stack.
- Solid understanding of networking, LDAP, and security tools like Firewalls, Active Directory, and Kerberos.
