Senior Cobol Developer – Private Banking

This is a Lisbon-based hybrid opportunity – work from home for 3 days per week.

As a Senior Cobol Developer, you will work for our client – a global IT leader driving innovation with cutting-edge solutions and services. You will be responsible for Software Development using Cobol language and be a mentor for junior members in the team.

Your main responsibilities:

• Software Development using Cobol language

• Perform development work with efficient and quality deliverables

• Understand the requirements document and convert them into Cobol Programs

• Work with Business Analyst and Technical Leads to deliver quality product

• Involves in support activity during various testing phases of the project

• Strictly adhere to client’s standards, processes, quality and security processes

• Creating test documents and execute test cases

• Provide support to clients when doing User Acceptance Testing

• Aid junior team members in solving technical issues and provide knowledge transfer

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• Minimum 6 to 8 years of IT Industry experience with 5 years of experience as a Cobol Developer

• Self-contained and Self-starter with excellent development skills

• Ability to resolve problems creatively

• Possess strong verbal, written skills in English: B2

• More than 5 years experience in conducting program unit testing and system

• integration testing

• More than 5 years experienced in system analysis and design
