This is a hybrid Lisbon-based opportunity – 2x in the office

As a Cobol Maintenance Developer for our client, you’ll be at the forefront of data solutions, crafting applications on cutting-edge platforms. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Mainframe applications to ensure their functionality, reliability, and efficiency within the system.

Your main responsibilities:

• Analyze and address incidents within the RUN environment, determining remediation plans and communicating progress and challenges effectively

• Participate in application design and development for enhancements within the scope of the project, primarily focusing on Basel IV requirements

• Conduct application design, development, and unit testing, and provide support during testing phases and production deployment, ensuring adherence to client’s methodology and standards

• Collaborate with IT teams within the Tribe and DSI to ensure seamless execution of tasks and alignment with project objectives

• Provide timely and accurate technical documentation including application design documents, unit test cases, integration test reports, and technical architecture documents

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe development, particularly in Cobol/MVS (BATCH) environment, with DB2 knowledge

• Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying purposes

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies for project management and development processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively

• Fluency in English and basic level in French
