Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work model (3 onsite days per week).
As a Senior Fullstack Java & Angular Developer, you will be working for our client, a large Bank, within their IT department on a core banking data and workflows platform. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and frontend interfaces, contributing to the optimisation of complex financial data workflows and regulatory systems in a senior hands-on capacity.
Your main responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java backend services using Spring Boot and relational databases (SQL, PL/SQL).
- Build and maintain Angular frontend components for internal banking and data platforms.
- Write and optimise PL/SQL scripts and stored procedures for complex data workflows.
- Manage source control, CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration using GitLab, Kubernetes and Maven.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise scalable technical solutions aligned with business and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of code quality, performance, and delivery processes (SonarQube, CI/CD best practices).
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving production incidents with a problem-solving mindset.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Java developer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
- Angular development/maintenance experience
- Practical knowledge of PL/SQL — ability to write and maintain stored procedures, scripts, and relational database queries.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimise complex workflows.
- English C1 — fluent spoken and written.
It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)
- Hands-on experience designing and building ETL workflows or optimising data flows and transformations.
- Experience with Spark, Liquibase, ArgoCD, Vault, JFrog, DynaTrace, Kibana or Kafka messaging.
- Background in banking or financial systems.

- English: C1 — fluent (mandatory)
