As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leader in aviation data systems, delivering scalable and high-performance Java-based solutions to process real-time global aviation data. Join a forward-thinking team shaping the future of aviation technology and operations.

Your main responsibilities:

• Architect and develop scalable, Java-based backend systems for real-time data processing in the aviation industry.
• Solve complex challenges related to algorithms, system performance, and database optimization.
• Build and scale data pipelines using MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Kafka.
• Implement best practices for software architecture, code quality, and cybersecurity.
• Deploy and manage applications within a Linux environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate distributed services.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in backend software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong expertise in Java and its ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, SQL/NoSQL databases, and message brokers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills focused on algorithms and system performance.
• Fluent English for technical communication with U.S. clients.
• Self-driven attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to new technologies.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of Portuguese language skills.
• Experience working in aviation or data-intensive industries.

Language Required for the role:

• English (Communicative proficiency)
• Portuguese (Good command preferred)
