Senior Java Spring Boot Developer – Payments Microservices

As a Senior Java Spring Boot Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading banking group dedicated to transforming digital payments. You will help design and develop high-performance microservices that enable seamless, secure, and scalable banking transactions, driving innovation in the payments industry. Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, ensuring scalability, security, and clean code principles.
• Architect and develop efficient backend code in Java, adhering to enterprise design patterns and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and cross-functional teams to translate payment business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Implement secure API integrations, error handling, and ensure high-performance communication between microservices and external systems.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards to promote best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and profile complex application issues to optimize system performance and resource utilization.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment in hybrid/on-premise environments.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 8+ years of professional experience in Java software development and microservices architecture.
• Deep expertise in Spring Boot (3.x) and the Spring ecosystem (Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA).
• Proficiency in Java (17/21), OOP, design patterns, multithreading.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, API-first strategies, and secure microservices communication (OAuth2, JWT).
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle or PostgreSQL, including data modeling and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation tools such as Jenkins.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Frontend development skills with Angular (Fullstack).
• Fluency in French (not mandatory but advantageous).

Language required for the role:

• Fluent English (B2/C1 level).
