As a Senior Linux Systems Engineer, you will be working for our client, a prominent player in the IT sector dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions. You will help shape robust, scalable, and secure Linux-based systems, advancing enterprise infrastructure and cloud readiness. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to impactful projects and elevate your career in a dynamic environment.
Your main responsibilities:
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of Linux systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues, providing innovative solutions.
- Manage migration and upgrade activities, including web server transformations from WebSphere to JBoss.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, including SSL certificates, reverse proxy, and load balancing.
- Support monitoring and scheduling tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, ELK, Control-M, and VTOM.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to facilitate deployment pipelines using tools like GIT, Jenkins, XL Deploy, XL Release, Docker, and Openshift.
- Develop scripting solutions using Shell and Python to automate routine tasks and enhance system reliability.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and optimize system configurations for scalability and resilience.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux-based IT projects.
- Strong knowledge of Linux environments; Windows Server knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell and Python.
- Experience managing web servers, particularly migrations from WebSphere to JBoss.
- Solid understanding of security protocols including SSL, reverse proxy, and load balancing.
- Familiarity with scheduler tools (Control-M, VTOM).
- Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix, Grafana, and ELK stack.
- Knowledge of deployment tools such as GIT, Jenkins, XL Deploy, XL Release, Docker, and Openshift.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certifications in Linux or Cloud technologies.
- Experience working in European Union markets with full eligibility to work in Europe.
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent in English and Portuguese.
