Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work model.
As a Senior SAN Storage Administrator, you will be working for our client, a leading player in data storage solutions. You will help build and manage next-generation NAS and SAN storage systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security to support the organization’s critical infrastructure. This role offers a unique chance to shape the evolution of storage technology in a dynamic environment.
Your main responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring and managing NAS and SMB Storage Systems, including expertise in NFS storage systems.
- Manage SAN environments with a focus on Netapp, DELL PowerScale, and HITACHI VSP storage platforms.
- Implement and optimize SMB storage systems and Windows Active Directory integrations.
- Provision SAN disks and configure storage systems with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain scripts using Bash, KSH, Python, Perl, and Ansible to automate storage management tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the Infrastructure team, including backup, network, security, and server teams.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues within SAN environments, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain documentation and participate in cross-team technology projects.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Senior Storage Administrator role.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Perfect knowledge of NAS storage systems: Netapp, DELL Isilon, HITACHI VSP.
- Hands-on experience with SMB Windows shares, DFS, and Windows Active Directory.
- Strong understanding of NFS, iSCSI, NVMe protocols.
- Scripting skills in Shell, Python, and Ansible.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex SAN issues.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and train users.
- Fluent in English (B2-C1 level).
It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)
- Knowledge of IBM GPFS.
- Experience with IBM Power systems (AIX, Linux on Power) and virtualized servers (VMware).
- Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident and change management.

- Fluent English (B2-C1 level).
