Senior SQL Server Database Administrator – French-speaking Expertise

As a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, dedicated to innovative banking solutions and digital transformation. You will play a key role in managing, optimizing, and evolving complex multi-SGBD environments, ensuring high performance, stability, and security. Your main responsibilities:

• Manage and administer SQL Server platforms (versions > 2014), ensuring high availability and performance.
• Oversee platform refreshes, infrastructure upgrades, and migrations to support evolving business needs.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in T-SQL and PowerShell for operational efficiency.
• Conduct performance tuning, database modeling, and optimize SQL queries to support development teams.
• Implement high availability solutions such as AlwaysON and Transactional Replication.
• Perform regular audits, monitor database health, and maintain database security and compliance.
• Supervise production SGBDs, including SQL Server and Sybase ASE, ensuring continuous operation.
• Respond swiftly to incidents and user requests, participate in crisis management scenarios.
• Manage change control processes for database modifications and deployments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to leverage cross-functional knowledge.
• Administer MS BI tools including SSRS, PowerBI Server, SSIS, and SSAS.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation and participate in technology watch initiatives.
• Contribute to cloud database projects on platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Support security policies, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 9 years of experience in SQL Server administration within enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server (2014 and newer), Sybase ASE, and related SGBDs.
• Proficiency in performance tuning, high availability solutions, and database automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft BI tools (SSRS, PowerBI, SSIS, SSAS).
• Strong scripting skills in T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
• Fluent in English and French.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with .NET development (C#, Angular, Rust).
• Certifications in SQL Server, cloud platforms, or infrastructure.
