Senior Test Automation Tech Lead – Cypress & Python

Lisbon-based opportunity with a hybrid work model, including up to 3 remote days per week.

As a Senior Test Automation Tech Lead, you will be working for our client, supporting a testing factory team focused on industrialising functional test execution. You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions across UI, API, and batch environments, helping project teams improve quality and delivery efficiency through continuous automation.

Your main responsibilities:

• Assess automation opportunities and define effective approaches for testing projects.
• Design and develop robust automation scripts using Cypress and Python.
• Design and execute automated tests across UI, API, and batch environments.
• Create test cases and perform manual and automated testing activities.
• Identify, document, and track regressions, incidents, and other anomalies using Mantis or Jira.
• Maintain and update automated test suites in coordination with development and product teams.
• Integrate automated tests into software factory pipelines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support project teams in advancing their automation practices.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in testing activities, including experience as a Tech Lead Automation Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of QA principles and testing best practices.
• Proven ability to create test cases and execute manual and automated tests.
• Strong problem-solving and anomaly-detection skills.
• Proficiency with Cypress, Python, VBA, UFT, Sauce Labs, Xray, MongoDB, Git, and Postman.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile environment.
• Experience designing automated tests for UI, API, and batch applications.

Language Required for the role: Communicative English and French at B2 level.
