Design integration solutions for the ServiceNow platform
This is a hybrid Porto-based opportunity
As a ServiceNow Engineer, you will be working for our client – a world-leading data insights company. You will be responsible for identifying best practice integration solutions and will oversee end-to-end IT designs for change and transformation projects, as well as day-to-day operational solutions.
Your main responsibilities: Design technical solutions for the ServiceNow platform
- Create and be accountable for integration solutions that are fit for purpose
- Meet business requirements, deliver value for money and are compliant with IT Architecture Blueprints, and accessibility standards, to achieve excellent results ensuring a smooth transition and zero disruption to operational services
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and defect resolution for any issues identified with live integrations
- Documentation of all integration solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve existing integrations or enhance platform data through the use of additional integrations.
- Mentoring and supporting the wider organisation ServiceNow team members
- Keep up to date with ServiceNow platform capabilities, best practices, new developments and trends
- Liaise and maintain professional relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders working with business analysts to turn requirements into technical solutions
- Provide insight into licence compliance and usage to ensure that appropriate licences are purchased and kept up to date to obtain the best value for the organisation
You’re ideal for the role if you have:
- 4+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Engineer
- Proven experience as a key technical resource leading the development of integration solutions in areas for CSM, ITSM, ITOM, ITAM etc
- Identity Management service (SSO/LDAP)
- MID Server Set Up, connectivity check, ECC queue logs troubleshooting, MID selection algorithm
- Service Mapping & Discovery integration (CMDB)
- Event Management integration
- Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, JAX-WS)
- Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc) and working in a SaaS environment
- AJAX, Jelly, or PERL scripting
- Hand-coding of DHTML/XHTML and CSS
- Object-oriented programming languages
- Relational database expertise in relation to an enterprise software system
- Excellent knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL and other such technologies
- Knowledge of Azure and AWS Cloud discovery – Including VM, Cloud Resource, IP address discovery
- Experience in Cloud API to get resources from Azure and AWS
- Have a clear concept of data flow between ServiceNow and MID instances and cloud resources
- Experience in hands-on networking, network traffic routing, performing troubleshooting using SSH, PowerShell
- Strong ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal, written and time management skills
- Thorough understanding of ITIL processes, Agile & DevOps and best practice approaches
- Good command of the English language
