This is a hybrid Lisbon-based opportunity – 2x in the office
As a Cobol/Java Tech Lead, you will work for our client – a global IT leader driving innovation with cutting-edge solutions and services. You will be responsible for leading the development team in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust COBOL and Java applications.
Your main responsibilities:
Oversee COBOL, Java/API, and technical expert teams, ensuring effective collaboration and project progress
Handle integration tasks involving APIs, file transfers, scripting for data load, ensuring seamless integration with external CRM/CLM products
Maintain high-quality standards for deliverables at the end of each sprint, leveraging CI/CD pipeline practices
Work closely with the Scrum Master and other teams to identify and remove obstacles, ensuring smooth project execution
Collaborate with external CRM/CLM development teams to cover integration needs, including COBOL and Java development, API, file transfer, and data load
At least 10 years of experience in Java and COBOL development, with a strong ability to manage both development streams
Proficiency in integrating applications using APIs, file transfers, and scripting for data load
Solid experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Strong English communication skills (B2 level), with French proficiency (A2+)
Deep understanding of S2i Module 12 Client Referential, including transactions and COBOL components, as well as external CRM/CLM applications like WDX and CLMI
