As a Packaging Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading organization in IT services, dedicated to modernizing and streamlining application deployment processes. Your role will focus on implementing automation, integrating cutting-edge packaging techniques, and supporting the deployment of Windows 10/11 and Windows Servers. Your main responsibilities:

• Receive application packaging requests, verify prerequisites, and coordinate with product/application managers to ensure smooth processing
• Build silent and interactive installation packages for Windows 10/11 and Servers, conducting initial testing and validation
• Integrate and package applications, considering qualification, testing, compatibility, and compliance requirements
• Provide ongoing technical support throughout the manufacturing stages—from qualification to production
• Regularly test and refine packaging recipes for existing and new applications to ensure optimal operation of the latest releases
• Promote and implement packaging automation to increase efficiency and reliability
• Contribute to the automation and orchestration of packaging delivery processes, aligning with DevOps best practices
• Support the modernization, convergence, and transformation initiatives within the department
• Facilitate the delivery of a modern, user-friendly app store and support its maintenance
• Participate in the development of automation tools and processes to improve build and deployment pipelines

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 2 years of experience in application packaging or a similar IT role
• Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting and system automation
• Proficiency with Windows desktop environments, MSI packaging technology, MECM, and Intune
• Hands-on experience with packaging methods, DevOps concepts, and application deployment tools such as PSADT
• Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow
• Good command of English (minimum B2 level) and excellent communication skills

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications or experience in modern application management and automation tools
• Knowledge of cloud-based deployment models or additional scripting languages

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent English (verbal and written)
