Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer – Insurance

Porto-based opportunity with a hybrid work model, including up to 2 remote days per week.

As a Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading banking group, as part of its Non-Life Insurance team. You will help ensure that insurance products meet client requirements by expanding test automation, improving quality processes, and delivering reliable solutions in an Agile Scrum environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Analyse the product backlog and assess the feasibility of test automation.
• Specify functional and non-functional test scenarios and test cases.
• Develop automated testing scripts and implement testing scenarios.
• Organise and manage the test execution pipeline.
• Identify, track, and report bugs and defects.
• Propose new automated scenarios that deliver added value.
• Collaborate with functional QA engineers to expand automation coverage.
• Support and share knowledge with more junior QA engineers.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or test automation.
• Higher education.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Experience with test management tools such as JIRA and XRAY.
• Knowledge of Gherkin.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Katalon Studio, and Jenkins.
• At least 3 years of experience in test automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of the Non-Life Insurance domain.
• French language skills.

Language Required for the role: Fluent English.
