Build the data pipelines that power a leading financial group's integration platform — hands-on Talend development at the core.
Lisbon-based opportunity with a hybrid work model (up to 2 remote days per week).
As an ETL Developer, you will be working for our client, a major player in banking and financial services. You'll join the team that designs and builds data integration jobs and pipelines on the Talend platform, supporting development squads and helping evolve the environment from its current on-premise setup toward Talend Cloud.
Your main responsibilities:
- Design, develop, optimize and troubleshoot Talend jobs and data pipelines across a range of data-processing use cases
- Support development teams in the implementation of robust, industrialized Talend integrations
- Work within a CI/CD workflow using GitLab and Artifactory to build and deliver pipelines
- Contribute to platform version migrations and the roadmap toward Talend Cloud
- Use SQL and relational databases to support and validate data integration processes
- Apply Java where needed to extend and troubleshoot Talend jobs
- Maintain clear technical documentation of solutions and configurations
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- 2–3+ years of hands-on development experience with Talend Studio on data-processing use cases
- Experience building Talend Data Integration jobs in an industrialized environment (GitLab, Artifactory)
- Familiarity with Talend Administration Center (TAC) in an on-premise setup
- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent
- Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL, and a good level of Java
- Strong documentation and technical communication skills
- An autonomous, proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a collaborative approach
It is a strong plus if you have:
- B2 level of French (or higher)
- Exposure to Talend Cloud
Language Required for the role:
Good command of English (communicative proficiency).
