Linux System Administrator

This is a Porto-based hybrid opportunity – 3x from home per week

As a Linux System Administrator,  you will be working for our client – a leader in the financial industry, exemplifying innovation, agility, and unwavering commitment to its clients. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the stability, security, and performance of our critical Linux-based systems, ensuring seamless operation of the bank’s IT infrastructure.

Your main responsibilities:

• Manage Linux servers and apps, update and configure them
• Check security and suggest fixes
• Fix performance issues, ensure uptime
• Support user’s troubleshooting problems
• Document setups and processes
• Be available for support as needed

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years as Linux Admin
• Familiar with virtualization – VMware, OpenStack
• Knows containers – Docker, Kubernetes
• Understands networks, firewalls, load balancing
• Familiar with storage – SAN, NAS
• Knowledge of Ansible, Git
• Knows ITIL, great skills at problem-solving
• English: B2 
• French is a plus
• Certs like RHCE are a plus
