Mid-Level Network Security Engineer – Firewall, Load Balancer & Proxy Expertise

As a Network Security Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leader in the financial industry committed to innovation and excellence. You will play a critical role in safeguarding and optimizing the company's network infrastructure against evolving cyber threats, supporting their mission to deliver secure, reliable financial services and fostering career growth in a dynamic environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design and implement security solutions for new technologies or client projects.
• Conduct upgrades and deployments of security devices across the network.
• Provide ongoing supervision and support for security devices such as F5 Load Balancers, Fortinet Firewalls, and SkyHigh proxies.
• Develop and automate processes and controls to enhance perimeter security.
• Collaborate with the team on capacity planning and resiliency measures for the security infrastructure.
• Automate security operations using tools like Ansible, Python, or Perl.
• Support the monitoring and supervision of security systems with platforms such as Splunk or Centreon.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 3+ years of experience in security infrastructure solutions, especially firewalls, load balancing, proxies, and WAFs.
• Expertise in F5 Load Balancer, particularly in the LTM module, with hands-on experience beyond basic tasks.
• Familiarity with at least one critical product among Fortinet Firewall, SkyHigh proxies, or Ubika WAF.
• Knowledge of DNS, LAN, IP, cabling, and switching.
• Experience with automation/NETOPS tools like Ansible, Python, or Perl.
• Proficiency with supervision tools such as Splunk or Centreon.
• Fluent command of English and Portuguese.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications in relevant security technologies or networking.
